I grew up in Barrie and later moved to Ottawa to complete my undergraduate studies. During undergrad, I worked with legal associations assisting refugees to Canada, volunteered with a pro bono law clinic throughout my degree, and worked as a freelance writer with a focus on legal topics. These experiences laid the foundation for my decision to pursue a career in law.
After undergrad, I took a leap of faith and moved to London, U.K. to complete my LL.B. Studying abroad was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life, allowing me to grow both academically and personally while connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. During law school, I worked with a refugee law clinic assisting asylum seekers, competed in mock trials as a finalist, and developed a strong interest in medical and health law, an area of law I hope to incorporate into my career.
My work experience has been primarily in civil litigation, with exposure to family and some criminal law. I am particularly interested in civil litigation and human rights matters, and I have developed a strong appreciation for family law and the role a lawyer plays in supporting clients through significant life transitions.
In my free time, I enjoy discovering new coffee spots, travelling, learning random facts, working out, and always keeping my cat entertained.
